In 2020, I had surgery to remove a mass that turned out to be cancer. Thankfully, almost a year later, I am still clear of that cancer. However, during that surgery, they found another mass, that now needs to come out.

Many thanks to each of you that helped me with a vast portion of the cost from my first operation. Over $7,000 in medical bills weren’t covered by the hospital’s financial assistance program. I am so grateful for all that you did to lend a hand during the craziest year ever.

Now I’m fundraising for my next surgery.

My next surgery is on June 16, which will result in 3-4 weeks of recovery, and hopefully a benign biopsy! Due to this long recovery time, I have to pause the majority of my work. I love creating portraits and teaching workshops so I'd of course rather do that!

In an effort to stay ahead of the bills that are inevitable, I wanted to pull together a special way to raise some $$. Kind of a Kickstarter-style approach. As a photographer and photo educator, these are things I do year-round. But for this little medical fundraiser, I'm offering a small selection of these sessions at a crazy low rate.

Like the virtual session, this is your time, but we meet in person and work together. This could be a Photowalk, or a hands-on session to dial in specific techniques. The goal of these sessions is to help you elevate your skills, and gain confidence as a photographer.
