Fujifilm continues to impress with their line up of fabulous lenses. The latest release is a wide angle option that covers a few genres really well: Landscape, Cityscapes, Architecture or Astro Photography.

I had an opportunity to take it for a spin and had a ton of fun exploring the UW Campus and Seattle Center.

In my own kit I've had the original 18mm f/2 lens, which is so teeny yet covers a lot of ground. But this newer f/1.4 version provides that creamy bokeh we love, weather resistant form factor and more.

While the f/2 version of the 18mm is so great as a walk around lens, considering the f/1.4 version for genres like Astro photography makes a lot of sense! I look forward to taking it for a spin this summer and perhaps seeking out some Milky Way views.
