Unlock the secrets of long exposure photography and elevate your landscape images into striking works of fine art. This hands-on workshop will equip you with the creative techniques and technical know-how to make your images stand out.
What You'll Learn:
The fundamentals of long exposure photography: understanding shutter speed and filters.
Composition strategies to transform ordinary landscapes into compelling fine art.
Practical, on-location shooting techniques to master long exposures in real time.
What to Expect: This immersive, workshop blends in-depth instruction with guided practice, allowing you to experiment and refine your skills. Whether you're new to long exposure or looking to expand your creative toolkit, you'll walk away with both the confidence and knowledge to capture scenes that command attention.
ONLINE PRESENTATION:
In preparation for the in-person workshop, Kate will lead an online presentation to review camera settings, techniques, composition and recommended gear. This session will be recorded for those who cannot attend the live session. This session is highly recommended to view to make the most of the in-person workshop.
Who Should Attend: Photographers of all skill levels who want to explore the artistic potential of long exposure techniques. Note attendees should have a solid understanding of manual control of their cameras.
Required Gear:
A camera capable of bulb mode
Wide-angle lens, generally something between 20mm - 35mm is a good start, longer lenses can also be interesting.
Tripod
Neutral Density filters, at a minimum starting point of 10-stops, ideally 13-15 stops of ND is recommended.
