Getting Creative with the Lensbaby OMNI Filter Kit
I don't know about you but I grew up with art. My mother is a painter and played piano in her younger days. My father was a musician and photographer.
Over the years I've dabbled in many mediums of art, from watercolours to mosaics to music and of course, photography. As a matter of fact, I spent the majority of my childhood and teenage years playing a variety of musical instruments and singing.
I've always felt that variety of influence on me at a young age helped me want to explore as a creative individual.
Late 2019 Lensbaby released a set of crystals and filters that were small, targeted for creative use in images. The system is called OMNI Filter. I saw the kit and example images and was pretty quick to order that starter kit.
Now you're thinking there are several companies creating kits with crystals. This system is a little different.
The system lets you mount the crystals to your lenses with relative ease. This means it's much easier to dial in an effect and keep it in place.
I mostly use these tools it my portrait work, landscapes, cityscapes and even some product photography.
Check out some images, I hope these inspire you to give this system a look if you're seeking tools to let you see and create a little differently.
Always remember. A photograph does not have to be perfect and tack sharp,. Contemplate creativity, capturing something a little different. Give your work a twist and blast of light and even rainbows.
I truly love the experience of the blur, the tones, the movement that these filters create. When Lensbaby came out with the expansion kits I got those too, I love having all the options! If you're thinking about getting a kit, start with the basics and go from there.
And! If you are ready to buy, you can save a little with my promo code wHailey, because, a few months ago, I became an ambassador for Lensbaby 🙂.
