Streets of Dublin

In March I made my second trip to Dublin. My pals Susan and Neill were there for Mojocon, so I decided to join them in the city for a few days. For me Dublin is a bit like New York. It’s gritty. It’s hard working. It’s got great pubs. Oh and the Guinness and Jameson warehouses. See, those two things alone make it pretty awesome. In my time there I actually still haven’t done either tour. From locals I understand the Guinness tour is pretty cool, but the best part is going up to the tower, where you can pour your own and see quite the view of Dublin from above. Next time I go, I’ll have to give it a try.For a lot of my trip so far I’ve been shooting way too many images with my iPhone and not enough with my Fuji. I made a point to shoot with the Fuji a couple of days while hanging out in downtown Dublin. The XT-1 is actually a nice little street photography camera. I also have the X100s, but for this trip brought the XT-1 with the 35mm and 56mm lenses. The 35mm being closest to that focal distance us street photographers love. The thing with street photography is patience. Waiting for moments to unfold. Watching the light or an expression and making that snap of the shutter. These are a handful of moments, captured. All with the XT-1 and edited, simply in Lightroom.2015_0326_Ireland0112015_0326_Ireland0182015_0326_Ireland0332015_0326_Ireland0372015_0326_Ireland043
