a little spring in seattle

Somehow it's been more than a month since I've done a blog post. In that time things like WPPI, having the flu have occurred plus CreativeLive workshops with Mark Wallace and Miss Aniela. In all of that business, I have managed to keep up with my 365 project, which is quite amazing. And most days, I take a walk in my neighbourhood, for exercise and to take photos, of course.Today we get back on the blogging wagon with a short post, with a little inspiration of spring for you. This photo was snapped on my beloved Fuji X100s using the macro feature. I'm still floored at how nice it looks. Yes, a fancy macro lens + tripod would be the better option, but I gotta say, I'm loving the results here. From the RAW file, I went into Lightroom 4, did a minor clarity and contrast adjustment and then on to Alien Skin Software's Exposure 5. Some of their film like options are really nice. This filter reminded me of a vintage photo, think old school polaroid, a little warm, a little soft.bloomsLook for more posts like this, and some more iPhone tutorials too, it's been too long!~ kate
